Still skeptical about social marketing? Not only have I experienced a lot of success using social marketing tactics (blogging, twitter, Facebook, content syndication, etc.) but so have thousands of businesses big and small.

Last November Michael Stelzner launched Social Media Examiner, an online publication for which I'm proud to be a contributing author. Mike did not do any advertising or traditional media outreach. He used social marketing to drive traffic to the blog and within a few months had nearly 100,000 subscribers and reached the status of #1 business blog on Technorati. That is impressive.

The success of Social Media Examiner comes on the heels of Mike's success last June with the Social Media Success Summit where similar tactics were employed.
