OpenCamp’s Sunday schedule included presentations on blogging that included Chris Pirillo, Brian Clark and myself. I caught up with Brian before he gave his presentation to give us a little preview. John P. ended up using the video as the segue between Brian and I as we changed microphones. Watch as Brian talks about the [...]6 Tools For Better Blogging With An iPad

Like many others, I recently purchased an iPad out of curiosity. While my intentions were of discovery, I quickly found some productivity gains with blogging. One of the biggest fears for web site owners that have long relied on search traffic for new business is a sudden drop in search engine rankings. Do you have a Facebook Page yet (formerly fan page)? In my post Facebook Pages Are All The Rage, I mentioned that I was going to experiment with FanPageEngine for designing custom landing tabs on my page. FanPageEngine is a web-based program that provides templates - fill in the blanks - and creates the special FBML code required to add to your Facebook Page. I can do basic HTML design...real basic...so was looking for a tool I could use that didn't cost a fortune and gave me the ability to create a page. Still skeptical about social marketing? Not only have I experienced a lot of success using social marketing tactics (blogging, twitter, Facebook, content syndication, etc.) but so have thousands of businesses big and small. 04 May 2010
2500 people are attending the Social Media Success Summit which kicked off today with a keynote presentation by Guy Kawasaki about how to use Twitter as a marketing tool. And the tweets were flying. Darn near impossible for me to keep up with the tweets, tweet what I was hearing and pay attention. I mostly opted to staying tuned in to Guy and learned a few new tips and tricks to maximize the power of Twitter. Whether or not you are attending the Summit, you can glean quite a few gems during the presentations. When you follow the hashtag #SMSS10...The Real Cost of Buying Links for SEO 4 Million
01 September 2010
I was reading a copy of the Inc. 500 issue on my flight back from Dallas this weekend and came across an article about a seasonal online retailer that was “penalized” right before the Holidays for paid links.
